Wearing ashes on Ash Wednesday doesn’t mean “I’m Holy!”; it means “I’m a sinner!”
Do we understand why we wear ashes on Ash Wednesday? It’s not to show people that we are good Catholics who go to church but rather that we are sinners in need of repentance.
Can you see the big picture?
Do we see what God wants for us in the long run, or do we only focus our attention on our immediate needs?
What are you looking for?
It’s easy for us to pray for our corporal needs to be met, but we sometimes forget to see the big picture and what God wants to do for us.
